Account details — your email address and name, received from Google when you sign in. Used only to identify your library. Nothing is posted to your Google account.
Your saved videos — the YouTube links you save, plus the title, channel, thumbnail and any notes or tags you add. Stored so your library syncs between your devices and the web.
Telegram chat ID — only if you link the @myvideosuk_bot so you can send links to it. We never see or store your phone number.
A session cookie — strictly necessary to keep you signed in on the web. No analytics or advertising cookies.
Basic server logs — IP address, time and requested page, kept briefly for security and to fix problems.
No advertising, no analytics trackers, no sale or sharing of your data with anyone, and no tracking across other apps or websites. We do not use your library for profiling or model training.
Videos play through YouTube's own embedded player (youtube-nocookie.com). When you play a video, YouTube/Google receives that request under Google's privacy policy; we do not control that. The video content itself is never stored by us — only the link and its details.
On our private server infrastructure in the UK/EU, transmitted over HTTPS only. Third parties involved: Google (sign-in and YouTube playback), Telegram (only if you link the bot), and Apple (App Store distribution).
Data is held on access-controlled servers. Your library is protected only by your Google sign-in and your device: anyone who can unlock your device or sign in as you can see it. Keep your device locked, use two-factor authentication for Google, and sign out on shared devices. No free online service can guarantee that data will never be lost or accessed without authority — please treat MyVideos as a convenience, not as your only record of anything.
Until you delete it. Remove any video in the app or on the web. To delete your whole account and everything in it, email forderit@gmail.com and we will erase it promptly. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, export or erase your data — email us and we respond within one month. You may also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
MyVideos.uk is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes materially, we will note it here with a new date.
